The EGW Evolved 1911 Sear Spring has been quietly in the works for some time. EGW is known for improving on original designs, one could even say they go through an EVOLUTION. With over 30 years experience in the 1911 market, they have finally come up with their our own fix to combat the typical issues associated with other sear springs. Sometimes 1911 frames can be a bit out of spec. One of the more common issues they have seen is the sear spring slot cut lower than it should be. This can cause the sear spring to not fully engage on the sear. Many springs currently on the market are not long enough to address this issue. EGW went back to the drawing board and made their spring over .030"" longer on the left finger to accommodate frames that encounter this issue. Above Image Details: Detail A - The left side of the spring has a relief cut to allow for the spring to move without contacting or rubbing on the frame. This ensures a smoother, crisper trigger pull. Detail B - The sear pad on the left leaf is less than 1/2 the size and weight than other sear springs, thus reducing the weight for recoil or inertia to act upon. Detail C - The center and right side leaves are 5% narrower to reduce weight and increase feel. Detail D - The disconnector pad on the center leaf is smaller than other sear springs to reduce weight, while still retaining the standard contact. Please Note - they do not glass bead or sandblast the sears after heat treat. The heat treating process leaves the springs with a spotty finish. This is not rust and does not affect performance in any way.

EGW ist dafür bekannt, Originaldesigns zu verbessern, man könnte sogar sagen, dass sie eine EVOLUTION durchlaufen. Mit über 30 Jahren Erfahrung auf dem Markt von 1911 haben sie endlich ihre eigene Lösung gefunden, um die typischen Probleme anderer Sear-Federn zu bekämpfen. Manchmal können 1911-Frames etwas außerhalb der Spezifikation liegen. Eines der häufigsten Probleme, die sie gesehen haben, ist der Schlitz der Sear-Feder, der tiefer geschnitten ist, als er sein sollte. Dies kann dazu führen, dass die Schnappfeder nicht vollständig auf dem Schnapper einrastet. Viele derzeit auf dem Markt erhältliche Federn sind nicht lang genug, um dieses Problem zu lösen. EGW ging zurück zum Zeichenbrett und machte ihre Feder am linken Finger um mehr als 0,030 "" länger, um Rahmen aufzunehmen, bei denen dieses Problem auftritt. Details zum Bild oben: Detail A - Die linke Seite der Feder hat einen Entlastungsschnitt, damit sich die Feder bewegen kann, ohne den Rahmen zu berühren oder zu reiben. Dies sorgt für einen sanfteren, knackigeren Abzugszug. Detail B - Das Bremskissen am linken Blatt hat weniger als die Hälfte der Größe und das Gewicht anderer Bremsfedern, wodurch das Gewicht für den Rückstoß oder die Trägheit reduziert wird. Detail C - Die mittleren und rechten Seitenblätter sind 5 % schmaler, um das Gewicht zu reduzieren und das Gefühl zu erhöhen. Detail D - Das Trennpad auf dem Mittelblatt ist kleiner als bei anderen Federn, um das Gewicht zu reduzieren, während der Standardkontakt beibehalten wird. Bitte beachten - sie glasperlen oder sandstrahlen die Sears nach der Wärmebehandlung nicht. Der Wärmebehandlungsprozess hinterlässt eine fleckige Oberfläche der Federn. Dies ist kein Rost und beeinträchtigt die Leistung in keiner Weise.
