Turns Handheld Flashlight Into Compact, Rail-Mounted Weaponlight

All-metal, low-profile mount converts a SureFire or similar handheld tactical flashlight into a compact weaponlight that gives you the versatility of weapon-mounted illumination without the expense of a separate light. Quick-detach design lets you remove the light from the gun and return it to handheld use in seconds. Triple-function cross-bolt with large, easy-grasp thumbscrew tightens the mount around the light body to prevent slippage under recoil and clamps the mount to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny or similar accessory rail. Also serves as a recoil lug to prevent unwanted movement of the mount on the rail. Retaining pin captures cross-bolt so it can’t fall off when the mount is removed from the weapon. Models available to fit three flashlight body diameters, listed below. Off-set models let you position the light to the left, right, or below the rail, approximately 1¼" off-set from the centerline of the rail.

SPECS: Aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black. Steel cross-bolt, black. SM-E fits lights with .810” to .826” O.D., including SureFire Executive series.

Die Ganzmetallhalterung mit niedrigem Profil verwandelt eine SureFire oder eine ähnliche taktische Taschenlampe in eine kompakte Waffenlampe, die Ihnen die Vielseitigkeit der waffenmontierten Beleuchtung ohne die Kosten einer separaten Lampe bietet. Durch das Schnelltrenndesign können Sie das Licht von der Pistole entfernen und es in Sekundenschnelle wieder in der Hand verwenden. Dreifach-Funktions-Kreuzschraube mit großer, leicht zu greifender Rändelschraube festigt die Halterung um den Leuchtenkörper, um ein Verrutschen beim Rückstoß zu verhindern, und klemmt die Halterung an jeder MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny- oder ähnlichen Zubehörschiene fest. Dient auch als Rückstoßöse, um ein ungewolltes Verschieben der Halterung auf der Schiene zu verhindern. Der Haltestift nimmt den Querbolzen auf, damit er nicht herunterfallen kann, wenn die Halterung von der Waffe entfernt wird. Verfügbare Modelle für drei Taschenlampenkörperdurchmesser (siehe unten). Bei versetzten Modellen können Sie das Licht links, rechts oder unterhalb der Schiene positionieren, etwa 1¼" versetzt von der Mittellinie der Schiene.

I will be buying another (06.08.2010)

I bought one of these off-set mounts to put a light (Surefire 6P)on the Ultimak rail of my AK (SLR-107). I found the mount to be very well made, very easy to use, and quite secure in holding the light during rough use. The off-set allows for much more flexibility in positioning the light on different weapons. I liked it so well that I ended up putting it on the Mk18 carbine I carry at work. I'll be picking up another for the AK.

Only weakness is that the knobs required re-tightening once or twice after moving between guns. Installed it in the cool â heats up in my vehicle. Aircraft-type threads/nuts would help, but its not a large issue.

I used this mount to attach a Surefire G2 light to the Midwest Industries handguard on my AK. It puts the tailcap switch right in front of my thumb when I grip the weapon around the magazine. It goes on easily and looks like it will stay put.

I've tried a lot of light mounts over the years. This is by far the best. The unique mechanism of the American Defense cam lever is easier on rails that the LaRue mount, making this mount better in my opinion, and less expensive. The cam makes for a secure mount that will not loosen like thumb screws, and because of the large bearing surface does not require much pressure to hold it securely in place. I also like that the caming action also holds the light in place. This enables the light to be quickly and easily removed from the mount, turned around or reconfigured. This enables it to work with every rifle I've tried it on. I've now got a box full of used light mounts for sale.

Good First Impression (16.11.2009)

I received this item tonight and used it to mount my Surefire Executive E2e light to a DPMS 223 upper. It fit the light very well, was very quick to install and it's fit and finish seem quite good. Be aware it's metal to metal contact with the light might mar the finish of the light but that is probably to be expected. I haven't taken it out for any night time excursions to torment the local feral hog population but my first impression is quite good.

Insufficient information (23.06.2016)

I ordered this after reading the reviews for my Surefire 6P but it was not made clear that this mount is only for the narrower body diameter of the E series Surefire light. I didn't know there was such a difference. The other two on this page apparently are for the 1" barreled bodies of the other Surefire lights. There is VLTOR mount listed elsewhere for the 1" body. I'll be sending this back.

I put this mount on an AR to replace a cheaper one, this mount fits very securely and is very low profile. I absolutely love it, and I plan on buying another one for another build.
