Springer Precision has designed these slide rackers in both carry/duty and competition models for Glock and Springfield XD-XDm handguns. The Carry/Duty models feature a lip off both sides of the slide to allow for easier grasp of the slide or to allow you to rack the slide off your belt, pocket or other objects. The Competition models have one appoximately 1/2" lip off the left side of the slide for fast manipulations. Replaces your striker retainer plate.

Poorly made loose fit. Broke in 2 months (20.10.2014)

The lower tabs that engage the rails in the slide broke off in a few short months. If I didn't notice, they could have broken off completely in a match and sent my striker flying.

I hope Brownells will warranty exchange it.

excellent fit & finish (05.11.2014)

Excellent product! Has a great finish, good grip and easy to install. Watch the spring when you change it out. It does go flying across the room.

The only this I wish was better is if it was a little longer. For uspsa table starts it doesn't prop it high enough for a fast grab. It is better then stock. Also if you have arthritis and can't grab the slide good. This is the answer, one finger operation. This is uspsa limited legal and great for open division. 4 stars only because for competition it could be a touch longer. Springer precision is the place to go for xd and xdm top of the line products.

Fit is nice and very easy to install. For someone that doesn't have the hand strength to rack the slide, this EZ slide racker makes it easier. It provides a good grip however, the edges are sharp and can hurt a little. For occasional racking would be good but for an all day thing at the range, it might send you home a little sore. Perhaps rounding the edges a little would be a compromise between grip and pain. It is finished with a gloss so it has some contrast with the mate color of a Glock rack.

67 years old and have some arthritis in my hand. The slide racker is exactly what I have been looking for making it easy to rack the slide with out slipping off.

Also works well with one hand to rack slide in a belt or pants pocket.

I have it centered and it doesn't print under a shitr when carrying.
